I actually got to visit Havana a few years ago. La Fleur by Livvy’s Havana takes me back. I had a strong feeling the sample from Olivia Larson’s discovery set would quickly become a full bottle and it did! It truly does transport me back there,

but not in the obvious, conventional sense with rum and tobacco. I’m reminded of hhow lush the foliage is there and of how fragrant the flowers are. It really inspires me to go back, to visit the gardens, the nightclubs, among the cigar smoke, seeing

Amparo Valencia (in her 70s) shimmy and do her cabaret number with as much gusto as a 20 year old. Yes, I’m very much inspired to return and to take it all in— which I can do with just one whiff. It’s citrusy, it’s floral, it’s woody, it’s salty, ambery, and musky. But most of all, it actually evokes memories of my visit—the fragrant lushness, maybe brought out by all the humidity— I remember smelling the earth, the flowers, the trees, and then, of course, the cigar and rum bars. This may be one of the most accurate Cuban experiences evoked by a fragrance yet. It truly belongs in the Travel Collection…..

Today I was so beyond pleased to wear for the first time La Fleur by Livvy (perfumer Olivia Larson)‘s “Nur” from the Tales of India collection. Oh my, I

adore it. Named after Mughal Empress Nur Jahan, it absolutely smacks of a bejeweled empress and brings with it delights from Persia and India. It is elegant and mysterious, and a complex blend of notes. It opens with a full collection of blossoms, saffron soaring above them, as well as mandarin and tangerine, which are presented so juicy and soft you can imagine biting into the citrus and juice

running down the sides of your mouth. Then the spices come in, adding that sense of mystery and intrigue. The spicy floral quality of the champaca in this perfume in particular is so well-pronounced on my skin…and it’s heavenly. The amber and

myrrh are like a silken garment for all the other notes to be jewels sewn onto it- together projecting a vision of splendor and empress-worthy sophistication and power. Beautiful for daytime, and sexy enough for evening. This is so expertly formulated and takes you through a journey of Persia and India, as promised. It is

charming, but a bold kind of charming- bold enough for the charismatic empress

by whom it was inspired. Can you tell I love it? Thank you, dear Olivia, for creating this eau-so-lovely fragrance! …….

A wonderful scent for the Autumn months ahead! A soft and subtle patchouli lingers on the skin with a hint of lime and florals perfectly blended. A fresh, not too heavy, not too earthy, but 'just right' patchouli beckoning the waning days of summer to come join in Fall celebrations!

JUST LOVE the oils smell so good and really help with anxiety

Really appreciated the fact that there's no harsh chemicals used, also like the small roll-on bottles and thought they were cute. Her favorite scent of the three is the Fleur de Mystere. Thank you for making such great perfumes

La Fleur by Livvy is one of my favorite natural perfume houses. Livvy's fragrances are unique and beautifully blended with high-quality natural ingredients. My favorites include Nur, White Lotus, and Forbidden Love, but there is something for everyone. While her fragrances are beautiful and unique, her customer service is also excellent. I highly recommend La Fleur by Livvy to fragrance enthusiasts and those looking for lovely natural options.

Thank you,

Fleur de L'Amour: I love rose in fragrances and Olivia's interpretation of the note is voluptuous and original. This rose is dainty and enriched by touches of strawberry and bitter cocoa that make it playful and velvety. I have to agree with the line's description of this being a very romantic creation. With the sandalwood adding a pleasant roundness, it is smooth and sophisticated……. Damiana https://www.isniffbeforeisleep.com

Fleur d'Aspiration: I was immediately drawn to this beautiful and rich rendition of frangipani, a note I am veryintrigued by. This fragrance feels both classic and exotic with powdery and slight tropical nuances. Frangipani notes can be quite rich and heady, but the overall sensation conferred here is quite soft and easy to wear. Once again, sandalwood adds a milky touch and elegant depth……

Love the fragrances available at La Fleur by Livvy. My personal favorite is Fleur d' Aspiration. Its mild fragrance reminds me of my childhood growing up in India where brides always put a sandalwood paste on their skin to bring out their beautiful glowing complexion. I also feel like I'm walking along this beautiful English rose garden. What I love most about this fragrance is that it's all natural and doesn't suffocate people around you. I had stopped wearing perfumes after my baby was born as he seemed to start sniffling and coughing each time I wore some, but with La Fleur by Livvy he doesn't seem to have a problem. Also the bottles with the vintage atomizers are very elegant and love the overall packaging and presentation. Not forgetting the reasonable prices.

La Fleur was recommended to me by a friend who is a self proclaimed fragrance addict. So I clearly had to try it! I chose to start with the "Scent O'clock" fragrances just to dip my toe in and I'm ready to take a full plunge! These scents bloom on

your skin, they are so pure and fresh without being heavy. They all have a smokey essence; some more than others. Excited to try the Impressions Collections next!……

Dear Olivia, I'm still in love with Forbidden Love and, if I have to be honest, I must say that it reminds me a lot of those days in New York. I was in that wonderful city for two years (between 1998 and 2000) when I did my master's degree in journalism at Columbia University. It was a wonderful time. I was happy in New York. That's why I'm happy every time I use Forbidden Love. Thanks for that. Best regards. Gustavo

Puck's Potion is one of my favorite scents from La Fleur by Livvy's Travel Collection. It's a warm, inviting chypre with a strong oakmoss opening - the real deal, with nuances of leather, sweet hay, and earthen forest floor. For me, it smells

like a deep, hazy shade of olive green, blurred further by the backdrop of an enveloping, clove-like lily. I would even characterize the floral as mentholic in addition to softly spicy. The top notes are supported by a rich dose of velvety, vanillic tonka that echoes the sensation of a balsamic amber when combined with the other notes. As the scent wears, I get whiffs of violet leaf - it balances the density of the sweeter elements with a greenness that is even a bit ozonic in

presentation. The base that holds on far into the dry down, however, is that luxurious, powdery tonka. Bottom Line: On my skin this scent is mainly a pas de deux between the earthy oakmoss and chewy tonka - the latter rounds out the edges of the former, and they seem to bring out the best in one another. I find the scent worthy of its name, and it easily cast its spell on me. Not only does it balance being sexy and cozy at the same time, but it's also a sophisticated chypre. I really love that sort of versatility. I'm a parent, a professor, and a musician, and I need scents that work in the

overlapping domains of my everyday life! ……

Livvy's creations are magical results of carefully researched and handcrafted natural plant based perfumes. These various sensuous scents are not only totally luxurious, but truly as chemical free as they can get. I have just purchased the roll on 'Fleur de Mystere' and 'Fleur de Seduire' duo, and I really cherish them both: 'Fleur de Seduire', just as its name suggests; is a little more noticeable and seductive in a very feminine way, whereas her little sister 'Fleur de Mystere' with a touch of Patchouli, is almost mystical in its delicate subtle way. Since I teach yoga classes and am around a lot of people, I know how some of us are very sensitive and occasionally quite allergic to different chemicals and scents. So I find it great that I can carry these easily portable pretty-pink bottles with me to refresh myself before or after classes without irritating anyone around me.I now look forward to Livvy's new scents which are going to be based on 'Doshas' (our own unique constitution according to Ayurveda). I just can't wait to have the same ones that I got, and then add more!

A WALK IN GIVERNY is an invitation to tour a garden, and not just any garden – THE garden. Initial spray immediately releases cooling breezes, happiness of walking through freshly turned earth, and sunshine warming subtle fragrance from each individual plant.  Trailing vanilla supports whiffs of Citrusy Bergamot, Spicy Rhododendron, Jasmine, Tuberose, Geranium, Carnation, Black Currant Bud and Hay. This is not a full blown floral chorus – it’s green buds from Spring’s early shoots.  The drydown is dappled woody, resinous sunlight.   Just like my other favorite from La Fleur By Livvy (Forbidden Love), it’s appropriate to wear anytime – Especially when you are in a situation that requires low key presence, yet the perfume addict in you craves WONDERFUL, not boring.  Also, like FL – I’m looking forward to trying this in Summertime, when the cooling aspect of this will be enticing, and the woody notes take a stronger stand....

Olivia is such a kind person and offered to send over some samples of her fragrances for me to try out. Each fragrance is incredibly special and unique - standing out wonderfully on their own. Being a huge fan of tuberose, I chose Kupaloke as one of my samples. Olivia stole my heart with this one and it even received compliments at work! She is an incredible perfumer and it shows in each fragrance she has created. My two favorites from the the sample set are definitely Kupaloke and Jadon, which has cardamom (another one of my favorite notes!). Cannot recommend trying out La Fleur by Livvy enough!
